Lovely to meet you! I'm Kate

I'm a Surrey-based yoga and barre teacher. I have a light-hearted, friendly approach and promise to create a warm and nurturing environment. My aim is for you to leave my classes feeling both strong and relaxed.

As an English and Drama teacher, I first came to yoga as a way to find calm in my noisy days, and soon realised both the physical and mental benefits. I trained to teach yoga in 2015 and haven’t looked back. I have been lucky enough to teach in a number of wonderful yoga studios, as well as running my own classes and events. I am so grateful for the wonderful community that yoga has helped me to build locally.

I teach different styles of yoga. My flow class is a fairly dynamic practice, building towards a peak posture or working around a theme. I always allow time for more restorative poses towards the end. If you fancy something slower then I also offer yin yoga, during which we hold poses for extended periods of time. Music is really important to me; I want you to get lost in your practice and forget the outside world and I try to create an atmosphere that does just this. 

In 2022 I trained to teach Barre. From attending barre classes for many years, I knew the fantastic benefits of this low impact, strengthening workout which complements yoga beautifully. In my barre classes, I want you to feel challenged but not exhausted, and to leave with that satisfying burn.
